Pigments and Dyes; Pigments will result in solid-colored plastic. Dyes will result in transparent epoxy with a stained glass look. Small amounts of acrylic-based paint may be used for opaque or solid coating. There is no substitute for a transparent coating. We recommend using 4 to 6 drops of pigment or dye per ounce of epoxy. If adding an acrylic based paint we recommend using 1 to 2 drops of color per ounce of epoxy. Mix color in the hardener part of the epoxy before mixing the resin with the hardener.
